Service & Welfare Standards

Your Dogs Welfare -
Your dogs welfare is our primary concern and comes above all else. We will not groom any dog that is showing signs of illness and distress or has any excessive skin condition. Dogs must be over Four months old before we will accept them for grooming, and all dogs must be fully vaccinated. We will not force a dog to undergo any procedure such as brushing or bathing if your dog becomes too distressed or if any such procedure may cause your dog pain. Dogs with matted or excessively knotted coats will not be groomed unless we recommend and agree to a  complete clip down. Please inform us of any skin conditions that may be agrivated by any of our grooming treatments.

We do not accept dangerous or illegal breeds and may muzzle any dog that tries to bite our grooming staff, this is for the dogs protection as well as the grooming staff. We only use soft muzzles and where appropriate, lamp shade collars.

We will advise customers of how long their dogs appointment will last for and we ask customers to make every effort to collect their dog as soon as we advise them to return. Our policy is not to let dogs wait for more than 30mins after they have been groomed. We reserve the right to charge £5 per 30 minutes over the agreed pick-up time.

Customers will be asked to sign a release form when first booking in dogs which will give details of our grooming terms and conditions. A full list of our terms and conditions is displayed in our salon. Our liability in the event of accidental injury is limited to the cost of treatment only. Where an uninsured dog bites a member of the grooming staff the owner remains liable for any loss incurred by us.

Breeds We Do Not Accept –
Sorry but we do not groom large breeds such as German Shepherds.

Fair Pricing Policy –
We will give you a rough quote when you first make your booking based on a breed standard or equivalent. We will then give you a thorough consultation on your first visit to agree the work we can carry out and give you a price which we will honour. We will advise of any extra charge that may become payable if we have to spend more time grooming your dog. We do not have any hidden charges and will always offer customers the best value service. We have a full price list of individual services where customers require only part of the full grooming service. The full service includes - Preparation which may involve brushing and combing out knots or tangles, hygiene clipping, bathing and hand drying, coat clipping and styling, nail clipping and finishing cologne. We can bath dogs in prescription shampoos provided by the owner if required. We reserve the right to charge full price for any missed appointments.

Discounts for multiple dogs or customer referrals are limited to 5% of the total grooming price and does not include pick-up service charges or products. To qualify for a referral discount, customers must provide full details of the customer they are or have referred to us. Customers may only have a discount for multiple or referrals and not both.

Vaccinations –
It is the customers responsibility to ensure that their dog is fully vaccinated prior to first registration and vaccinations must be up to date on all subsequent visits.

Although we do our best to keep dogs separated during their visits we cannot guarantee that they may not come into contact with other dogs. We expect customers to inform us if their dog has been treated for any infectious disease, such as kennel Cough, within the las three months.
